These two opted for an engagement session in the Dandenong Ranges as a precursor to their Australian celebration at Elmswood Estate Winery In actuality, this was really more of a First Look than it was an engagement session and I have to say it was an excellent choice to make the most of their special day! And I tell you, these guys must really love partying because these were just the warm up acts for what Emily referred to as their “big fat Indian wedding” day that was yet to come… I mean, why have just one party when you can have two, or even three, right?!
We spent our time exploring the Alfred Nicholas Gardens, which really feels like a different world. Between the winding paths and the incredibly green surroundings, we kept stumbling across one beautiful spot after another. Fair warning if you’re considering this place for your own session: it’s pretty steep. If stairs and slopes aren’t your favourite, you might want to think about a different location. But if you’re game for a bit of a hike, it’s so worth it. These guys hiked up and down hills- in formal wear and heels no less, all while looking absolutely gorgeous before making their appearance at their celebration later in the evening and dancing the night away!
The Dandenong Ranges have so many hidden corners that are perfect for photos. From quiet, fern-lined creeks to the massive gums and carefully kept gardens, it’s easy to find a spot that fits your style. And the best part? I know all the places that aren’t packed with people, so you’ll have some privacy while you’re in front of the camera. There’s no pressure to perform; it’s just you two, being yourselves.
